In order to enhance the efficiency of the pinning systems and hence the productivity of our customers too, we have developed a new generation of pin bars. The OWAS® line is the result of intensive research and development work.

OWAS® is a robust plastic pin bar with a steel core which goes right through and into which the pins have been injected. When the pins become worn, the entire bar is replaced (one-way pin bar).

We have managed to make the pin bar extremely light and rigid, yet at the same time flexible enough to absorb the forces acting on the pins, hence greatly extending their useful life span. The optimal positioning of OWAS® means that normal to strong forces are perfectly absorbed by the pin bar and passed on to the drive or the chain as gently as possible. This also has a positive effect on the life span of the machine or the chain.

In crash situations the energy is absorbed by OWAS, hence greatly limiting the transmission of energy to the chain. The guides and the machine itself are subjected to far less stress.
